Hi, it's me, HibiscusKazeneko. I don't come here very often, so I had no idea we added badges or blogs. I just discovered this feature and figured "Hey, why not take this for a spin?"
On to business...
I don't have much to talk about. If you've followed my Newgrounds userpage, I haven't updated in a while. I don't normally like sharing my intimate life details with the rest of the interwebs, so I typically just blog about what I do in my spare time. Lately I've been listening to a band called The Alfee whom no one this side of the Pacific Ocean has heard of and I can rightfully say this is the first time in my whole life I've actually followed a band. As could possibly be expected, I also follow the members of the band, and I ran across Toshihiko "Takamiy" Takamizawa's solo project. He has a new album "Fantasia" coming out the 25th, and I recently secured my copy of the type-B limited edition version (a USB drive with extra goodies) via a preorder. (The type-A version comes with a DVD, which would be useless to me.)
Also I'm psyched for the release of Pokémon Black & White, which come out September 18 in Japan. I'm planning on getting Black for my birthday (I'm a semi-regular Play-Asia customer). My brother said he wants to hold out for the US release for White; this way he can get his hands on the DLC and share it with me (or so it seems :P).
In case you haven't noticed, I haven't put out any Flash in two years. This is because I lost all of my old data to a flimsy hard drive and my copy of Flash is no longer supported. This sucks extra balls because I had a fifth Phoenix Wrong (titled 逆転裁判:馬鹿な逆転) in the works and almost finished. I'll have to plunk down $700, which I don't have, for a new copy, and once (on the off chance) I get this, I'll have to start from scratch. Fortunately, I retained some of the old sound clips, so I may have something to work with.
School starts the 23rd, and I'm less than psyched. For me, college has been little more than torture. Fortunately, I got into a Japanese class this semester, so I'll at least be able to have some fun.
With this, I'll let you all go. I can smell the TL;DR in the air.
Smell you later,
HibiscusKazeneko
UPDATE 8/17/2010 11:18 AM CDT: Just to clarify for some of those who left comments, this was an external hard drive that failed, not a whole computer.
Also for Icedragon64: Flash 8 is to my knowledge the oldest version that Adobe currently supports. And yes, Flash CS3 is slightly cheaper than CS5, but only by about $200.
