User Pages are registered users' profiles on Newgrounds, which can be altered to the user's content. User pages automatically display certain stats and information about their account, including:
- Level icon
- Aura
- B/P Points
- Rank
- Number of BBS posts
- Number of reviews
- Trophies
Outside of that, users can add their own Portal submissions and other content—news posts, pictures, etc. All user pages have a unique URL with the username as the suffix (e.g. "teravex.newgrounds.com
"). Supporters who change their username can create a redirect from their old user page to their new one for 30 days, but only those with "over 100 followers" can make permanent redirects.[1]
There are separate sub-pages listing the user's Flash, Audio, and Art submissions, News posts, Favorites (Portal and external media), and Reviews. Shared creations, medals, and albums are also shown. Although an abridged version of this information is on the main user page, only showing recent uploads, opening one of these more specialized sub-pages will show all the submissions or content from that respective Portal or other category.
Main Page[]
This is the home page for a user, with all their basic stats, information, links, etc. It is divided up into a number of boxes comprising of different Portal submissions and categories, and is the center for all the other viewable sub-pages—News, Movies, Art, Audio, Favorites and Reviews. Links to these sub-pages are on the top right hand corner of each respective section. The current sub-pages are:
- Fans
- News
- Games
- Movies
- Audio
- Art
- Faves
- Reviews
- Posts
- Links
- Playlists
Customization[]
Users may upload a primary user picture, which is resized to 212 pixels wide by 159 pixels high, a 46 by 46 pixel personal icon that appears on posts, articles and private messages, and a page banner that must be 770 pixels wide and 40 to 100 pixels high. Said customization cannot be of NSFW content.
Sub-pages[]
On the main page, for each Portal or section, sections linking to sub-pages showing the the three or four most recent (depending on the monitor size) submissions. As shown in the figure to the right, each sub-page section they show the thumbnails of every submission, star ratings for Movies and Games, and the age ratings for Art. Clicking the "More" icon in the top-right corner of each directs to the category's sub-page, listing every included submission by year. Sub-pages are denoted in the URL by a suffix (e.g. "/games
", "/movies
", "/audio
").
Recent Medals[]
This little box shows icons, etc., for the latest eight games medals a user has, along with a total medal score in the top right hand side.
News Posts[]
This section of the Main Page shows the latest News Post, along with links to Comments on that Post etc.
One of the key actions that a user can do on their page is to post News Posts. These Posts will appear, usually briefly, on the Front Page, until the next few posts knock them off. Unless Comments are disabled, anyone see the Post can comment on it. A log of previous News Posts is available from the Main User Page from the Yellow button in the top right hand corner marked News. The logs are stored chronologically going back in time from the most recent, which is displayed on the Main Page, downwards back in time.
Reviews[]
This sub-page shows the three most recent of all reviews that the user has posted. With Flash and Audio it shows the submission's icon, but with Art it shows the reviewer's icon instead.
At the top of each row of three recent reviews, there is a total number of each review for the User and next to it, a total that have Responses. If a viewer clicks on the Reviews link, they will see all reviews of that type. If a viewer clicks on the Responses link, they will see a full list of reviews with responses for that type of submission.
User Page Rules[]
The rules dictating user pages tend to be more lax than that of the rest of the site. Although adult content is only viewable by accounts with users over 18 years old, and it is against the rules to have a NSFW profile pic or banner, some users are known to put it on their pages, so viewer discretion is always advised when it comes to visiting a page. Using said pages for hate speech and content is also prohibited.
