We have spent a long time working on this game. We hope you all like it.

The Fight For Glorton is a Lock Legion themed multiplayer battle Royale, along the lines of Super Smash Bros. Brought to you by Trash and Peach Lock of the Lock Legion, using their Programming and Animation talents, respectively, along with too many nights of hard work, the game is ready to be released.

UPDATE 18/5/2007: Fixed "spawning" bug, made the splash screen an AI battle and fixed a few bugs here and there.

The game is due to be updated in little bits in a short timespan. Expect more characters, more levels, and more moves in less than a few days time. So bookmark this page and keep checking back, because we're not releasing TFFG 2 for a long time!

Note This information only refers to the official release on the Flash Portal.

The Fight for Glorton is a Flash Game by SirDavey and Rho-VIII, also known as TrashLock and PeachLock. It is a fighting game in the style of Super Smash Bros featuring various Lock Legion Characters. The title refers to the Key of Glorton, which is wielded by StrawberryLock in the game.

Design

The Fight for Glorton features a variety of play modes. First, there is the an interactive tutorial, which teaches players how to control characters in a controlled environment. There are also three other single player modes: Quick Fight, in which the player can face up to three other opponents; Endurance Test, in which the player fights an endless stream of enemies; and One on One, which is essentially the Quick Fight with only two characters allowed. The only multiplayer mode is VS mode, which allows up to four players to take part in a Quick Fight style match. Players can also customize the game's controls to their liking from the main menu.

Gameplay

The gameplay is based on Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Four fighters do battle on one of several stages. The the goal is to cause damage to the opponents, and knock them off the stage. This takes away one of their lives, and the last person with a life left is the winner. Although the six playable characters have similar basic attacks, they each have a unique special ability. There are items that can be used to enhance combat. It is also possible to change the difficulty of fights by increasing or decreasing the enemy's artificial intelligence before a fight.

Presentation

The Fight for Glorton

Action is quick and chaotic.

The characters in The Fight for Glorton are shown in the traditional Lock style, with small, round feet and hands used to show movement and combat. The various arenas tend to be very active, with moving objects that can enter or leave the battlefield. The arenas are fairly dark and gritty, considering how colorful and silly the characters are. The game uses a variety of musical tracks from the Audio Portal.

Reception

Although The Fight for Glorton did not win any awards on Newgrounds, as of May 2010 it has over 400,000 views and an average review of 8.8/10. It is featured in 3 Collections: Fighting Games, Lock Day 2007, and Super Smash Bros. On other sites, the game is even more popular. It has had over 2.4 million views on Addicting Games and over 300,000 views on Armor Games.[1]
