Piconjo appeared in Newgrounds Rumble as one of the playable characters. However, he was given a completely different look by MindChamber, the designer of the game, and given a new backstory. Piconjo himself, disavowed this portrayal, instead referring to the character as ButtChamber, and declared him as a separate character.
History[]
In 2007, Newgrounds Rumble was released, featuring Piconjo as one of the playable fighters. Believed to be dead, Piconjo never approved or endorsed his appearance, going as far as to claim that the ‘Piconjo’ was an entirely different character altogether by the time he returned in 2021. In a news post, he said:
"this blunder is the source of all teh confusion regarding m3 when Buttchamber was mistakenly named "Piconjo"."[1]
ButtChamber was mistaken for Piconjo in Newgrounds Rumble
In contrast to the "Buttchamber" design of Newgrounds Rumble, the established Newgrounds icon Piconjo is often depicted as a hero who defends Newgrounds from unoriginal and boorish flash animations, whereas the Buttchamber take on "Piconjo" is a brutish and vapid character with an entirely different back story and unclear motives. The Newgrounds Rumble description of the character is a "rival" to Pico, however this rumor is canonically baseless in both worlds, as Pico has only appeared a handful of times in the Piconjo series and isn't given any more attention than other Newgrounds icons.
Differences between ButtChamber and Piconjo[]
- ButtChamber wears purple, a colour that Piconjo has a distaste for.
- His hairline is further back, giving the impression that he is balding
- He doesn't have muscles
- He has a small pen0r (also doesn't use it in NG Rumble)
