After it's removal years prior, the NG Chat was announced on May 5th 2016 as a part of the Pico Day Gifts leading up to 2016's Pico Day . The Newgrounds Chat was in the works for a very long time before it's eventual release in 2016, and the following year it made a switch to become a Supporter-Only feature.
