A ban is when a user is prohibited from doing a specific action on Newgrounds. There are different types of ban: reviewing bans, BBS bans, etc. Bans do not affect the users privileges elsewhere on the site.

Ban Length

Users may be banned for as little as one hour or as long as deemed necessary. Users can be banned for a certain amount of time by Moderators, but Wade Fulp can permanently ban a user and even ban their IP Address.

BBS Bans

If any user breaks any of the rules of the respective forum, they can get banned by the BBS Moderators. Different forums have different rules, but the general rules encompass every forum. As where it is usually looked down upon, mods can also ban users if they think the user is worthy of a ban or is trying to go around the rules.

Review Bans

Users may be banned from reviewing if they violate one or more of the guidelines set forth for reviewers, such as adressing other reviews or making derogatory comments.

Ban Abuse

Many mods have been de-modded for inappropriately using the Perma-Ban.Jamoke, for example was de-modded shortly after handing out several Perma-Bans.
